A psychology practice for people who are done pretending they're fine.

THOUGHTFUL. INCLUSIVE. TRAUMA-INFORMED. HUMAN.

Being Human Psychology is a private practice offering individual therapy for people navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, neurodiversity, and the general complexity of being alive in the world right now.

What we actually stand for:

These are the principles that shape every session, every interaction, and every decision made at Being Human Psychology.

Trauma-Centred Care

Your past matters. Not because you're defined by it, but because it has shaped you and understanding that is the beginning of everything. We work gently, at your pace, with deep respect for your story and what it's cost you to carry it.

Affirmation & Inclusivity

You are welcome here exactly as you are. Not a polished, pulled-together version of you. Actually you. Being Human Psychology is a space that actively celebrates diversity in all its forms. Your identity is not a complication. It's part of what makes you worth knowing.

Radical Compassion

We don't do judgment here. We approach every single person who walks through the door - or logs on from their car, their bedroom, wherever you need to be - with genuine empathy, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to kindness.

Serious Self-Care

We believe in self-care that goes deeper than a bath bomb. Taking care of yourself isn't indulgent, it's foundational. We model this within the practice, because a psychologist who doesn't look after themselves cannot sustainably look after you.

Ongoing Learning

The science of the mind keeps evolving. Lived experience keeps teaching. We are always growing: reading, listening, unlearning, updating. Being trained is not the same as being finished. We take that seriously.

Courageous Candour

Sometimes good therapy means saying the thing that's a little uncomfortable to say. We will always be honest with you. Not harsh, not blunt for the sake of it, but genuinely, kindly honest. Because you deserve truth, not just comfort.

We were never taught to take care of our minds. We were taught to push through, shrink down, and be grateful it wasn't worse. No wonder we're all a bit of a mess.

THERAPY IS WHERE YOU UNLEARN THAT.
