Board Approved Supervision.

You're supposed to know what you're doing. Nobody tells you it's still this hard.

Nobody prepares you for the gap between finishing your training and feeling like you actually know what you're doing. The cases that keep you up. The clients who don't fit the textbook. The creeping worry that you're missing something.

Supervision is the place where you get to be honest about all of it and come out the other side with more clarity, more skill, and a little more confidence that you're doing right by your clients.

That's what supervision at Being Human Psychology is for.

MY APPROACH

Complex cases don't have to feel so complicated.

Bring the ones that are keeping you awake. The ambiguous presentations, the clients you're not sure how to help, the moments where you second-guessed yourself. This is a space to think them through without judgment and without pretending you've got it all figured out.

Supervision that builds real skills, not just confidence.

There's a difference between feeling better after supervision and actually getting better at your work. The goal here is both. Practical guidance that sharpens your clinical thinking and expands your toolkit in ways you can actually use the next week.

Your style. Not a copy of mine.

Good supervision doesn't turn you into a replica of your supervisor. It helps you figure out who you are as a clinician and build on that. You'll be challenged when it counts, supported when you need it, and never pushed into a mould that doesn't fit.

Sustainable practice starts with not burning yourself into the ground.

This work is heavy. Recognising that isn't weakness, it's how you stay in it for the long haul. We'll look at the clinical work and how you're actually doing. Because a psychologist who isn't looking after themselves can't look after anyone else.
